YOUR DAY-BY-DAY ADVENTURE

Detailed Itinerary

8 days of trekking across glaciers, soaking in geothermal springs, and chasing the Northern Lights.

Day 1: Arrival in Iceland

Welcome to the Land of Fire and Ice. Upon landing, your adventure begins with immediate relaxation. We head straight to the world-famous Blue Lagoon to soak in its mineral-rich geothermal waters—the perfect way to rejuvenate and adjust to the local rhythm.

  • Private Airport Transfer via Blue Lagoon: Seamless pickup at 9:30 AM.
  • Reykjavík Check-in: Settle into your boutique accommodation in the heart of the city.
  • Leisurely Afternoon: Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the vibrant culture, design, and cozy cafes of the world’s northernmost capital.

Stand between two continents at Þingvellir National Park, where North America and Europe slowly drift apart. Then, bake rye bread buried beneath volcanic sand — yes, in the very place Gordon Ramsay visited to learn how to cook using the Earth’s natural energy.

  • Þingvellir National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Fontana Geothermal Bakery – Laugarvatn
  • Kerið Volcanic Crater
  • Lunch at Friðheimar Greenhouse
  • Scenic Transfer into the Icelandic Highlands
  • Aurora Borealis Hunt (Weather Permitting)

The journey into the Highlands feels like a true expedition. At Hveradalir, the earth breathes — steam rises from the ground, minerals paint the hills in surreal colors, and you begin to understand why this geothermal valley feels more like another planet than Iceland.

  • Hveradalir Geothermal Valley
  • Hveravellir Nature Reserve
  • Natural Hot Spring Bath in the Highlands
  • Aurora Borealis Hunt (Weather Permitting)

After exploring the Golden Circle, we journey south along Iceland’s dramatic coastline. Walk behind Seljalandsfoss, as if stepping through a hidden portal. By sunset, Skógafoss stands before you — powerful, golden-lit, and unforgettable.

  • Gullfoss Waterfall
  • Geysir Geothermal Area
  • Seljalandsfoss Waterfall (Walk Behind the Falls)
  • Hidden Canyon of Nauthúsagil
  • Skógafoss at Sunset
  • Aurora Borealis Hunt (Weather Permitting)

Crampons bite into ancient ice as the glacier creaks beneath your feet. Surrounded by silence and blue ice formations, you trek across one of Europe’s largest glaciers with professional equipment and expert guidance.

Inside the shimmering blue ice cave, time seems to stand still. Later, the dramatic curves of Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon appear — deep, cinematic, and as powerful as the story you’re now living.

  • Guided Glacier Hike (Professional Gear Included)
  • Blue Ice Cave Exploration
  • Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon
  • South Coast Scenic Drive
  • Aurora Borealis Hunt (Weather Permitting)

Spend the day at the legendary Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. From a Zodiac boat, navigate among towering icebergs drifting in silence — glowing in shades of white and electric blue.

Then walk along Diamond Beach, where crystal-clear ice fragments rest on volcanic black sand.

At night, skies often clear along the southeast coast — creating ideal conditions to hunt the Northern Lights.

  • Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
  • Zodiac Boat Tour Among Icebergs
  • Diamond Beach
  • Aurora Borealis Hunt (Weather Permitting)

The journey back is a cinematic drive across lava fields and volcanic landscapes. Walk along Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, framed by basalt columns and crashing Atlantic waves.

We close the adventure at Sky Lagoon, following its signature 7-Step Wellness Ritual, overlooking the vast North Atlantic Ocean — the perfect farewell to Iceland.

  • Eldhraun Lava Field
  • Hjörleifshöfði Promontory
  • Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
  • Sky Lagoon – 7-Step Ritual Experience

Before sunrise, at 6:00 AM, we transfer to the airport.

Iceland stays with you — not just in photos, but in memory. The landscapes, the silence of the glaciers, and perhaps one final dance of the Northern Lights travel home with you, etched forever into your story.

ANY QUESTIONS?

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to see the Northern Lights?

By October, Iceland’s nights are dark enough for the sky to ignite. The weather is still manageable, making it the ideal time for aurora hunting. Furthermore, 2026–2027 coincides with the peak of Solar Cycle 25 (Solar Maximum), significantly increasing the frequency and intensity of the lights dancing over the horizon.

The key is dressing in layers: a thermal base layer to retain heat, a fleece or down mid-layer for insulation, and a waterproof, windproof outer shell to handle rain, snow, or glacier mist. Waterproof hiking boots, a warm hat, gloves, and a scarf are essential—they are the difference between enduring the cold and truly enjoying it.

For a detailed packing list, please consult our Winter Gear Guide, where we break down every essential item.

Citizens of many countries do not require a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days in Iceland (Schengen Area). However, with the upcoming implementation of ETIAS, an electronic travel authorization will be mandatory before boarding. We recommend verifying specific requirements based on your nationality.

This journey is for those who love to move and explore. We will hike across a glacier for approximately four hours and take several short treks through various landscapes. You don’t need to be an athlete, but if you can comfortably walk 2 to 4 miles (3-6 km), you are ready for the full experience.

The tour is conducted in English by a specialized local guide. For those who require it, Spanish-speaking support and assistance will be available throughout the experience to ensure seamless communication.

Absolutely. Our trip is designed to pair solo travelers in shared rooms. However, if you prefer the privacy of your own space, you can request a Single Supplement for $1,300 USD.

In October, the odds are high, but the Aurora is never a promise—it’s a pursuit. We dedicate several nights to chasing them, watching the skies with anticipation. If they choose not to appear, Iceland will have already given you something just as powerful: ancient ice, infinite waterfalls, and landscapes that don’t need green lights to be unforgettable.

This is not a mass-market tour; it is an exclusive experience for only 16 travelers. Spots fill up quickly. A $500 USD deposit secures your place and confirms Iceland is officially in your plans. The final balance is due 30 days before departure.
